Walking around Hyde Park

I have almost forgotten my blog anymore these days, because I am quite busy to do my project. At this stage, the project make me feel too stressful. Sometimes, I really can not concentrate to my work. Basically, I can not find any idea about that. Though I spent the whole weekend in my room, I have not done anything. It seems like waste time completely. And then, I brought my camera and new fix lens ( 50mm 1:1.4G) to have a rest in Hyde Park. Be honest, I was really enjoy and relax as well at that moment. Hyde Park is a totally relaxing place, people, animals and even the air in there. I took some lovely photo as well. Hopefully, I can move on next level about my project!!!   Good luck

The first project in LCC : Loving Golden Section

This project divided into four parts: 1 Golden Section in History; 2 Golden Section in Nature; 3 Golden Section in Architecture; 4 Golden Section in Painting. Each part of area have two books ( the original image one and transparent  golden section patten one). Basically, The method of analyzing is using the transparent material's book to cover the original image book. So, it is easy to find what has golden section done in each area of our life.

The main objective of this project is to illustrate the history timeline of golden section and introduce when and where it has been used. It also can tell designers and artists that, the golden section is still valid till date.

'My London Project' : Window Tax

Window tax (1696 – 1851)

In 1696 in the reign of William III another form of taxation came into force this was known as the “Window Tax” and would last until 1851.

Brief:

When I arrived London, I found a weird phenomenon in some building. Some window have bricked-up window-space. That means it's closed. So I wanna present this situation and tell people why it was happend.

Actually, it was a quite interesting story. The main reason of this phenomenon is The Window Tax which by William 3 was established in the 17th and 18th centuries. As you can see, some poor people have no enough money to pay for the window tax. so they have to bricked-up window-space, whereas the rich people can keep it. So in my final work, I try to compare these two totally different situation.

The aim of this project is to introduce this particular situation(window tax) in London for anybody.

Helvetica font: Most popular font all over the world

Helvetica was developed in 1957 by Max Miedinger with Eduard Hoffmann at the Haas'sche Schriftgiesserei (Haas type foundry) of Switzerland. Until now, it's also the most important font all over the world. It's really unbelievable! We can find it form anywhere around us. From NewYork and Chicago subway to Microsoft; from American Airlines to Lufthansa. Obviously, it have already become a stream. These logo are very successful cases for using Helvetica. And also are my favoriate brands design.

so which one you prefer? Do you think Helvetica is the number one all over the world?
